Just Say No to Haircuts

Yesterday, Mr. B got his first haircut & let's just say it was interesting! He was doing okay at first. They let him sit in a race car & watch an Elmo Video but once they put the cape on it was all over! Then (unfortunately) they broke out the clippers. All of the sudden the Howler Monkey was back, screaming & crying worse than when he gets his shots. Daddy ended up holding him through the whole thing and Mommy attempted to take pictures. Even Grammy T was there for moral support. Thank God it was over quick. Enjoy the pics of our cutie pie with his new do!

Hi everyone it’s me Beckett. I’m back and blogging. Just to let you all know, I made it through Hurricane Ike just fine. I’ll blog about that later, but now I want to tell you about my Zoo trip.

My Mom and Dad are the coolest people I know. A couple of weeks ago, we all went to the Zoo. It was great; all the animals were on display for me to see. I’m not sure what most of them were but they were so neat. I loved it so much that we got a year long pass. Can’t wait to go again! Here are some pictures:

Possible Walking Baby Sighted in Texas

Unconfirmed video reports out of Texas show a baby, possibly Beckettous Millerous, walking upright and unassisted. This is a major discovery in the scientific community since Beckettous Millerous was once thought to only walk on all fours occasionally standing to grab at a remote control or a cell phone.

Eye witness reports from Texas confirm the sighting. Daddy and part time Geophysicist, Matt Miller, said “It was amazing he walked at least 5 feet. Beckett had the grace of a drunken sailor". Beckett’s Mom, Erin Miller, was heard shouting “Go Go Go” from the across the room.

Many think that the video is a forgery so the video has been sent to multiple independent video labs to confirm the authenticity.

Introducing Helmetor – The Indestructible Force of Nature

About a month or two ago my Mom and Dad put this blue thing on my head. Not sure what it does but once it is placed on my head I turn into a super hero: HELMETOR! I’m an indestructible force of nature, all other babies and obstacles bow to me. Except when I’m drinking a bottle, then I’m busy.

I love this thing! I can run into things without getting hurt at all.

I learned to swim today, mastering the freestyle and the backstroke. Not really! My Mom, Dad and Aunt Mimi sat with me in the pool. I would have been able to swim, if they hadn't held on to me so tight. I’m a natural athlete plus I look good in a bathing suit. Dad bought me an inflatable pool in the backyard so we can go swimming together more often. Thanks Dad!

Let me go Mom. I'm telling you I can swim. I'm part fish you know.

Auntie Reindeer Graduated - Get a Job You Slacker

Thought I’d post some pictures of Auntie Reindeer’s graduation. We had a very nice time together. I’m not really sure what a graduation is but it seemed important. She wore some sort of black gown and a square hat. Not my style, I prefer a t-shirt and diaper. Anyway, congrats Auntie Reindeer!

Grandma and Gramps came to town.

My Grandma and Gramps came to town a few weeks ago & I’m just now getting around to blogging about it. I have a very busy schedule, full of crawling and pulling Mom’s hair. Grandma and Gramps visit was great. We had a lot of fun. It was so nice seeing them again. I really enjoyed just chillin’ with the old folks. Can’t wait to see them in July at their crib! It's official, I have my first tooth. Bring on the meat!! Grammy T says I should be ready for a steak now or maybe Gramps can fix me some bacon. He's known for that. Mom attempted to take a picture of the lone tooth but it's hard to see. Sorry peeps!

My New Box

Hi everyone! Today I got a neat toy, a box. I'm not sure where my Mom and Dad got it from probably Babies R' Us, but I really like it. It is so much fun, more fun than all my other toys. I pretended it was a car, then a train and then a boat. It's great. Well I have a boat to catch. Blog u later.

I'm on the move!

Look out world I'm on the move! I learned to crawl (army style) last weekend and I haven't stopped yet. Mom and Dad seem to watch me like a hawk now that I'm moving around. They don't seem to trust me. Well my Dad put together a little movie of me on the move. He is no Scorsese so excuse the editing. Gotta crawl now there is a bottle that needs to be eaten.

My very first vacation

Wow! I have been so busy this past month. Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Mommy is a slacker these days. Some webmaster she is! Just kidding Mommy!

Well I recently went on my first vacation! Mommy & I went to visit Grammy T. We had such a great time. I got to meet all of Grammy T's friends and I stayed in a hotel for the first time. I also got to experience a "chicken bath". At this time, you might be asking yourself well - what is a chicken bath. Let me further explain. Basically a chicken bath is when you bathe in a kitchen sink like a chicken. Crazy huh! After the chicken bath, Grammy T gave me a French baby massage (a baby massage while talking in a French accent) which I really enjoyed. That Grammy T is so funny! I can't wait to see her in a couple of weeks.

We all scream for ice cream!

What an awesome weekend! Mommy & Daddy took me on a tour of the Blue Bell Creamery & we got to learn how ice cream is made. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my milk just as much as the next baby but ice cream looks like something I could get ALL over my face. I tried to sneak a bite of Daddy's when he wasn't looking but Mommy caught me. So I settled for a bottle and some hair pulling. I love to pull hair as you can see below. Halfway to a year

Well yesterday was Beckett's 6 month birthday and I just can't believe how fast time flies. You never quite understand what people mean when they say that their children grew up too fast until it happens to you. Now we are halfway to a year and Matt & I are wondering what happened to our tiny baby boy. According to the scales at Dr. Nguyen's office, Mr. B weighed in at 19 lbs 11 oz and was 27 inches long which is apparently bigger than most 1 year olds. :) Helfy baby!! (Emily will appreciate that one). All in all, these past 6 months have been the best of my life. Beckett is amazing & I can't wait to see what the future brings. Cheers and enjoy the leg rolls!

My visit with Grandma & Auntie Em

It was so great seeing my Grandma & Auntie Em! I did lots of fun things like play & spit up all over them. Grandma brought me lots of adorable outfits & Auntie Em made me these cool paintings for my playroom. They are so colorful & fun to look at. I would love to put them in my mouth but Mom isn't too keen on that. I can't wait until Grandma & Auntie Em come back. Hopefully next time they will bring Aunt Rachel, Gramps, and the rest of the Philly crew!
